Generally speaking it's which upstream came first. In this case yours haven't
even been around for a month while the original project is alive and healthy 2
years running.

If you where to replace the AUR package the upstream should be dead and more
people should be associating the project name with the new one instead of the
one that came before.

But this is a case-by-case basis decision.

Squatting the package after it's being disowned without even bothering to reply
on the thread is not fine, please don't do that.
