I should also say I'm willing to DO these steps, create the repo, 
work with someone to figure out how best to transition users to 
having the extra tier, shepherd the whole 
adoption/redistribution/voting process.

There's some items I don't think I have the gerolde access to do, so 
I'd have to be paired up with someone for that part, or given access.

At first, that was exactly my reaction. But taken as a set of 3, 
they complete the analogy nicely, and the name is at least more 
meaningful than extra, I think.
